There doesn't appear to be a better keyboard experience out there. In my personal opinion they are top shelf.
USB TOUCHPAD MOUSE PRO
I've had several laptops (IBM T-Series before they switched to Lenovo, Toshiba Satellite Pro series, Toshiba Satellite lower end, and have dealt with other makes with my clients) but this time around I went back to the Lenovo T-series and couldn't be happier. Thanks Scott!!! That mouse issue has been annoying me for months now (I'm using a Microsoft Sculpt Touch mouse with my Lenovo T530) and I've just been living with the issue rather than taking the time to troubleshoot - I had actually thought it was possibly a Bluetooth issue of some sort and didn't bother trying to troubleshoot as I've always seemed to have bigger fish to fry.īy the way, I absolutely love the Lenovo T530. NET has all the APIs you need to create, manipulate and convert Microsoft Office documents and a host of other file formats in your applications. Sponsor: Thanks to Aspose for sponsoring the blog feed this week! Aspose.Total for. I'm starting to realize that most all of my frustrations with touchpads and mice on Windows are related to poor defaults and settings in the 3rd party drivers, and now I check those first when I have issues. If you have the Lenovo or Synaptics drivers, select the UltraNav tab. Hit the Windows button and from the Start Screen type "mouse." You want this one, not the "metro" or fullscreen mouse settings. I turned it down two notches and my mouse freezing problem was solved.

USB TOUCHPAD MOUSE DRIVER
Turned out during a recent driver upgrade it was set to Maximum. I figured it was the Palm Check feature of the laptop's touchpad, meant to disable mice whilst typing fast. Something was disabling the mouse as I was moving around. However, I sat down and thought about the problem and noticed that if I moved the TouchPad on my laptop after the external mouse appeared frozen my external mouse would be responsive again.
USB TOUCHPAD MOUSE WINDOWS 8.1
I recently upgraded to Windows 8.1 so my first reaction was to assume that something broke because "stuff is new." I'd be moving it, then the mouse would just stop. I recently noticed that my external Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse would freeze every few minutes. But I have been using a lot of different kinds of notebooks for a long time on a lot of different operating systems, and I haven't seen a exception so far.I'm just blogging this to make sure I remember it, but also to help others who might need this fix.

It would (probably) require VERY close co-ordination between the people writing the drivers for the pointing devices. It's just that I haven't seen it being done. I'd be willing to bet that it's possible. I'm just saying that special features aren't available on more than one-at-a-time. NOTE: I am NOT saying that multiple pointing devices cannot operate on the same system simultaneously. Moreover, I don't think I know of any cases where an MS allows special functions of more than one proprietary pointing device driver to be operant simultaneously. But the ability to select internal / external / both is pretty much a given on all notebooks that have PS/2 connectors. I don't know of any internal pointing devices that can be auto-disabled by the BIOS upon detection of a USB-connected pointing device. I think that, once that initial decision is made, then it's up to the drivers with the OS mediating. But, AFAIK, that ONLY applies to the combination of PS/2 mice and built-in pointing devices like the Touchpad. It has been my understanding, imprecise though that may be, that the "decision" as to whether one mouse, the other mouse, or both are recognized by the OS is determined by the BIOS setup at boot time.
